As our campaign for District Leader candidates Marisa Redanty and Tom Shanahan enters its final few days, we have a couple of political superstars coming to help us explain the need for new leadership in the neighborhood.
New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer will campaign with us on Saturday between 3 and 5pm, on W 43 St between 9th and 10th Avenues, outside Manhattan Plaza. In his terms as Assembly Member, Manhattan Borough President, and (since 2013) Comptroller, Scott has accumulated a wealth of knowledge about New York City politics and we are very lucky to have him working actively with our campaign.
Then, on Sunday between 10.30am and 12pm, again on W 43 St between 9th and 10th Avenues, our Congressman Jerry Nadler - prominent member of the Judiciary and Transportation Committees, and a vocal leader of the anti-Trump Resistance in the House of Representatives - will come and meet voters with us. If you attended our event at Hartley House three weeks ago you will know that Congressman Nadler is endorsing Tom and Marisa enthusiastically, and that getting them elected is a key signal for the future of our group. It is rare to have a national leader of Congressman Nadler’s stature working with us at such a local level, and will surely lead to some fascinating conversations with both voters and members of the Club.
Don’t miss this chance to meet these two leaders in person - and talk with local people in the neighborhood about the work Hell’s Kitchen Democrats is doing. It’s essential we get a strong turnout to build momentum for Tuesday’s election. Be there if you can!
